From Homesteaders to Homeowners: How Women Shaped Denver's Housing Market

alt tag

Women didn’t just step through the front door of Denver’s housing market. They built it, claimed it, and rewrote the contract. From staking land on the frontier to leading today’s biggest real estate deals, they’ve turned ownership into influence. And they did it long before they had the legal or financial backing to make it easy.

Strange Household Items: A Brief History of the Genius (and Madness)

Some household objects are so ubiquitous we never stop to ask why they exist. Others are so bizarre it’s a wonder they were ever invented at all. From beds that vanish into walls to chairs that double as step ladders, the world of household innovation has had its fair share of oddities. Some were strokes of genius, others were desperate solutions to problems that never really needed solving. Either way, they all have a story to tell.

Prices Hold as Listings Surge: February 2025 Denver Real Estate Market Trends

The Denver housing market wrapped up the year looking... well, a lot like last year. If you were expecting dramatic shifts, you might need to change the channel. This year started as more of an unbiased documentary than a soap opera. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t trends worth watching. Buyers have more inventory to choose from, sellers are negotiating more than they did in the pandemic frenzy, and home prices continue to climb. (Just not at breakneck speed.) As we head into spring, a season that typically sees increased buyer activity, we could be in for more of the same instead. February 2025 Denver real estate trends clue us in.

Black Coloradan Trailblazers Who Made History

When we think about Colorado’s past, names like Kit Carson and Buffalo Bill might come to mind. But Black Coloradans have been just as instrumental in shaping the state’s legacy. It’s downright wrong that Colorado students don’t learn about them right along with the likes of Molly Brown… she didn’t fight segregation in schools or provide medical care when racist rules prevented Black Coloradans from getting the treatment they needed. But guess who did; these pioneering lawmakers, fearless cowboys, and impactful entrepreneurs.

2025 Home Decor Trends Predictions

It's 2025, and we're eagerly awaiting the wave of home decor trends set to make their mark this year. Historically, home design trends have followed fashion movements, infiltrating living spaces with a slight delay. Remember the 90s obsession with chunky platform shoes? Those eventually stomped their way into furniture legs. And let’s not forget the early 2000s velour tracksuits because, yes, velvet sofas were their inevitable fate. And we happen to think 2025 home decor trends will be no different. As they say, it’s all just a bit of history repeating.
