When are we going to see new homes for sale in Highlands?

I thought we would see a lot of new listings after New Years. So far, nothing. When will there be new listings hitting the market in Highlands? I have been asked this question by numerous clients since we ushered in the New Year and find myself asking it on a personal level as well. In mid-December, a home I was under contract with crashed the day before closing. Yes, it even happens to Realtors. Since then, I have been watching the MLS like a hawk waiting for new listings to pop up. I figuredcertainly come January 1st, tons of new listings would hit the market in Highlands. But unfortunately, the opposite has been true so far.

I can't say that new listings haven't come on the market, a select few have. In the past three weeks, I have been out bid on two separate houses that both went well above asking price in a matter of hours. I was ready to place an offer on a third house yesterday, only to find it was already under contract a day after hitting the market.

Hello, potential sellers, are you hearing this? Multiple offers above asking price, sold in less than 48 hours, what more could you ask for? I write this to encourage buyers, there has to be more options coming up for us soon. But just as importantly, to encourage potential sellers to put their house on the market, price it right, and see what happens. I am working with numerous frustrated buyers right now, myself included, just waiting to pounce on that perfect house once it hits the market. I talk about supply and demand all the time. Right now, the demand for quality, well priced homes in Highlands is at an all time high. Could there be a better time to sell?
