April is Fair Housing Month- Here's what YOU need to know!

Photo Cred: Equal Rights Center

In April of 1968, the Fair Housing Act was passed to provide equal opportunity housing and prevent discrimination of sale, rental, or financing based on race, color, creed, national origin, religion, disability/handicap, sexual orientation, age, and gender.

Five decades later, bias continues to present itself in our industry. As members of the Real Estate community, we must continue to be a part of the solution- to continue the conversation.

Why do we have the Fair Housing Act?

Diverse populations and inclusive neighborhoods strengthen our communities and give the Denver area its terrific and local charm!

At Corcoran Perry & Co., we pride ourselves on our tagline- œLive Who You Are.

We are dedicated to ensuring that all clients are provided top-level service and are advocated for every step of the way. Many of our agents hold numerous training hours in various areas including disability, diversity and discrimination, to better serve our clients.

We see beyond the transaction- we see YOU.

How does the Fair Housing Act relate to me?

The Fair Housing Act was designed to protect you through every step of the buying, selling, renting, or financing of any property!! Our philosophy? Knowledge is power!

We arm our REALTORS with an abundance of informative, up-to-date resources to better support our clients through their process. Our team of real estate professionals are in continuous discussion on how we can improve and be more inclusive. Not only for tomorrow or 5 years from now, but for the next generation of homeowners. We are better than the average real estate agent.

We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. Let us advocate for YOU today: https://www.corcoranperry.com/agents
