Colorado has a rich history with the Hispanic community, bringing their vibrant traditions to the Centennial State for decades. National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed every year from September 15 to October 15, commemorates and honors the Hispanic community's history, culture, and contributions. The celebration begins on September 15, honoring the anniversary of the independence of five Latin American Countries, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, with several other countries celebrating their independence during this month-long holiday.
