Denveright: An Inspiring Plan for Denver's Future

As we finish out 2019, the city of Denver is already planning into 2040 with Denveright's comprehensive plan for œa more inclusive, connected and healthy city for all of us. This in-depth look at Denver's future all began with input from the city's current residents. Smartapproach, Denveright!

FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE

It started with a simple question: œWhat's Your Vision for Denver? Through the deployment of an enthusiastic street team, workshops, surveys, think tanks, and task forces, the city asked this question of its residents over and over during a three year period. Common themes and words that resonated with Denver locals were: active, inviting, diverse, inclusive, connected, safe, affordable, accessible, friendly, and connected to the outdoors. These basic principles became the foundation for the œsix elements of vision that emerged to help shape Comprehensive Plan 2040.

A CITY THAT CARES

This well thought out plan received an overwhelming œyes from city council in May of this year, letting Denver citizens know that their opinions and quality of life are a priority and that Denver cares deeply about the future for all of its residents as well as the environment.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Denver will use this plan as a guide to drive major decisions, implement new programs, and coordinate across city departments for the benefit of all who work, live, and play in Denver.Four citywide plans have emerged in alignment with the visions of the comprehensive plan:Blueprint Denver, Denver Moves Transit, Denver Moves Pedestrian and Trails and Game Plan for a Healthy City. While none of the changes will happen overnight, over the next twenty years we'll begin to see new policy and programs that promise to be impactful, setting Denver apart from other major metro areas of the country.

SHARED VISION

While all of the six visionsare aspirational, we are especially encouraged to see that œStrong and Authentic Neighborhoods is part of the Denverite plan. As Denver's city living experts, we have always been devoted to Denver's unique neighborhoods. From our passionate and informed agents to our comprehensive Denver neighborhood pages and ongoing community involvement, we love Denver's diverse 'hoods and aim to be the most valuable resource for neighborhood information and happenings.
