How important are good hospitals to home values in Denver?

How important are good hospitals to home values in Denver? To be honest, this isn't a question I had considered until I found myself at Children's Hospital in Denver with my three week old son this week. Luckily, thanks to the amazing care we are getting at Children's Hospital, my son should recover perfectly and in 3 short weeks we will be back home. But what would it be like if we didn't have one of the top Children's hospitals in the world in our backyard?
Since I've been a little busy since we got here, I haven't had a chance to do research and find an exact percentage that hospitals add to a home's value, especially here in Denver. I do know that with so many young families in Denver and moving to Denver, having Children's Hospital so close is a major selling point and will be a point I discuss with all buyers moving forward. I've met plenty of other families with children in the same situation as us who don't live in Denver and have had to practicaly move to Denver for a month. As tough as it is for us living twenty minutes away, I couldn't imagine how hard it would be living 5 or 6 hours away.
In addition to Children's Hospital, Denver has plenty of other nationally recognized hospitals including University Hospital, National Jewish Hospital and so many more. Being able to get top notch medical care within a 30 minute drive is pretty unheard of still in many parts of the country and is yet another reason why living in Denver is so great. I imagine in the next few weeks I will have some down time and will try to research this more. But for now, I can tell you from personal experience, living close to great hospitals is incredibly valuable and I can't imagine living anywhere else that doesn't have great care available like Denver does.
