If you've driven down 38th avenue between Sheridan and Wheat Ridge lately, you'll have certainly noticed the obvious re-emergence of Wheat Ridge. What used to be run down office buildings mixed with a few restaurants has been transformed into a new hot spot in Denver. If you can figure out the diagonal parking, then it is certainly a spot that you are likely to revisit time and time again.
A few years back, the city of Wheat Ridge decided to redevelop 38th avenue calling it The Ridge at 38 and create a town center that Wheat Ridge has been lacking. Now it seems like a new restaurant is popping up each month and new businesses to go along with them. If you love beer, then you definitely need to check out Colorado Plus which serves 56 Colorado craft beers and great food. Every cyclist will find what they are looking for at Wheat Ridge Cyclery. Posey Girl is my go to spot for flowers now and I've been wanting to check out Right Coast Pizza. There is also an acupuncturist, Pilates and yoga studio with more businesses on the way.

This resurgence of the Ridge at 38 has had an impact on Real Estate as well. Home prices are up 13% since last June and two builders, New Town Builders and Urban Green Development have projects planned for Wheat Ridge this year. I had two clients buy in Wheat Ridge this year to get more house for their money, be close to the Highlands and to be walkable to the Ridge at 38. With some great architecture and larger homes, I believe Wheat Ridge will be booming for years to come. If you haven't been there recently, I encourage you to take a look and definitely let me know if you want to explore your Real Estate options in Wheat Ridge.
