A quick fix to get the most money out of your Denver home.

What quick fixes are there to get the most money out of my Denverhome? It is a question I get a lot when meeting with sellers who are ready toput their house on the market, and one of the first things I look at is ifthere are any brass fixtures, door handles or outlets in the house. Brass fixtures were fashionable a couple decadesago but those bright, shiny tones now scream cheap and out dated to potentialbuyers.

So if you want a quick fix, look around your house and seeif you have any brass. Most outlet covers are easy to change out and onlyrequire a screwdriver. Faucets and door handles aren't super technical toreplace and can easily be done in an hour or so and very quickly by a handyman. And if you have brass lighting, head on over to Home Depot or Ikea and getsomething up to date. It will completely transform the room and make a buyerexcited once they walk into your home as opposed to feeling like they aretaking a step back into the 80's.

Simple white fixtures are a significant improvement overbrass. Satin nickel or brushed stainlessremain popular and will certainly jump out to potential buyers with littleexpense on your end. For a few hundred dollars you can quickly and easilyupdate your Denver home and the return will more than pay for itself in thelong run. Grab that screwdriver and get busy.
