The Neighborhoods of Northwest Denver

What are all the neighborhoods of Northwest Denver? It can be confusing, especially for people just learning about Northwest Denver. The general name for this part of Denver is Highlands. But if you look at an actual map, and ask locals, you would learn that Highlands is really just a small part of Northwest Denver. Plus, you have West Highlands, Highlands, Highlands Square, Lower Highlands, etc.... So how to tell them all apart and really know what neighborhood you are really in?
