10. The eclectic residents make this area one of the most unique neighborhoods in Denver I love walking down the street and running into all kinds of people, doing all sorts of things the energy is great, and there is always someone new to talk to, learn from, or get to know!

9. Old meets new, in the best of ways. A lot of the homes in Berkeley are still original bungalows and ranch-style homes, built as early as the late 1800s but now we are starting to see brand new structures and beautiful remodels sprouting up amongst the classics, and the balance that architects are achieving is truly an art to behold.

8. Speaking of artTennyson street is fast becoming one of Denver's art centers, with galleries lining the streets and local restaurants and coffee shops allowing artists great exposure with rotating exhibits. Make sure to check out the First Friday art walk, it's always a good time!

6. The Dog Park located at the Northwest tip of Berkeley, this is one of the biggest off-leash areas in the Denver Metro, and no matter what time of day, you will always find a playmate for your pup in this four-legged hot-spot.

5. The Twin Lakes. Sure, there are lots of neighborhoods that have one lakebut Berkeley has TWO and whether you want to do a little laid-back fishing, take a stroll, or train for your next race, the lakes are right up the street!

The median sales price for homes in Berkeley, Denver for Jan 10 to Mar 10 was $290,500 based on 40 sales. Compared to the same period one year ago, the median sales price increased 21%, or $50,500, and the number of sales increased 48.1%. Average price per square foot for Berkeley was $320, an increase of 39.1% compared to the same period last year.

This urban cottage in the heart of Berkeley is a perfect example of why this is such a special place to live. Built in 1910, this home retains many of its orignal features, including great built-ins and a winding staircase, as well as a large lot and huge shady trees, but it has been upgraded in all of the right waysan attic master bedroom, a beautiful cook's kitchen, and 3 different patio areas create a wonderful space for relaxing and entertaining.
