The Mar Lee Neighborhood

As Denver expanded westward in the 50s and 60s, communities such as Mar Lee were developed. Located just west of Federal Blvd, its filled with well-kept ranch homes on large lots, Mar Lee is anchored by plentiful outdoor space, including Garfield Lake Park, an Urban oasis offering a playground, swimming pool & athletic fields/courts, plus lake fishing & paths, and the Sanderson Gulch Trail, which adds a green belt and spans the entire length of the neighborhood. Locally-owned restaurants and shopping line the streets on either side, along Federal and Sheridan Blvds.

With most restaurants, stores, and shops living on Sheridan Boulevard and Federal Boulevard, you'll be able to walk to some of your errands but, most conveniences will require some transportation outside the neighborhood.

There are four bus lines running through Mar Lee if you need to grab a bite to eat, get groceries, or commute to work. Mar Lee has a bike score of 6 with some bike lanes throughout the community.

There are some fast food and local restaurants such as Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Torres Mexican Food, and King Wok to get your late nite bites! But don't worry, you can burn those calories by taking a brisk walk along Sanderson Gulch Trail.
