Live Urban Real Estate claims new territory with second location

East side office opening this fall in the center of Denver's classic historic neighborhoods

Live Urban Real Estate, a city-focused real estate brokerage, is opening a second neighborhood real estate office at the four corners of the Cherry Creek, Congress Park, Cheesman Park, and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Live Urban will occupy a storefront location along busy East 6th Avenue, adjacent to other local neighborhood businesses including Shaver-Ramsey and Barolo Grill.

œI've wanted to open a second location for a few years, but wanted to find just the right location, says John Skrabec, President of the growing boutique brokerage. œIt's in a great spot filled with unique shops, restaurants and service providers, with a walkable connection to the adjacent residential neighborhoods.

Live Urban is taking over the 1,682-square-foot space from The Stationary Company, which vacated the property at 2818 E. 6th Avenue, after a successful 35-year run. Live Urban plans to fully renovate the property this summer and is aiming for a September opening.

œThe second location is much larger than our first office, and will allow us to provide more work and meeting space for our brokers and their clients, Skrabec said. œIn addition, we'll have a large meeting and training room, which we want to open to the local community for use by neighborhood groups and organizations.

Skrabec started Live Urban in 2006, when he opened the boutique brokerage's first location at 3627 W. 32nd Avenue, in Denver's West Highland neighborhood. That location will continue to serve buyers and sellers on the west side of the city, while the new office will serve those on the east side. Since its beginning, the brokerage has sold real estate worth over $2 billion. In the last twelve months, company sales volume surpassed $315 million.

Live Urban's professional staff of 10 will split their time between both locations, and some of the brokerage's 81 existing real estate brokers will be based at the new office. Skrabec plans to hire additional agents for both locations. Current Employing Broker Jana Miller will continue to lead the day-to-day management of the brokerage. Live Urban has signed a five-year lease at the new location.

From its inception, Live Urban has been an innovative brokerage, blending skilled real estate counsel with leading edge marketing and support. Skrabec established an agency-like marketing department within the company, inspired by his previous experience as founder of Denver ad agency, Cactus. œLive Urban offers a ˜best-in-class' suite of marketing services, to both our home sellers and buyers, as well as our real estate agents, Skrabec adds.

Among Live Urban's recognition: Small Business Top Workplace (The Denver Post 2013-2018), Largest LGBT-owned company (Denver Business Journal 2016, 2018), Most Innovative Brokerage Finalist (Inman News 2011), Top 25 Residential Real Estate Brokerages (Denver Business Journal 2009-2017), Groundbreaking Beta Broker (Better Homes and Gardens 2012, 2014, 2018).
