Live Urban Real Estate Announces Founder Repurchase of Brokerage

Nov 1, 2017- Denver, CO -- Live Urban Real Estate founder John Skrabec has repurchased the real estate company from owner Lon Welsh, Founder/Chairman of Your Castle Real Estate. Skrabec will continue the uninterrupted operation of the brokerage serving residential home buyers and sellers in metro Denver.

Live Urban Real Estate Announces Founder Repurchase of Brokerage

Live Urban Real Estate, a boutique brokerage known for its collaborative culture, excellent client reviews, and recognition from the business community, was established in 2006 by John Skrabec and Mark White. Since its beginning, the brokerage has sold real estate worth nearly $2 billion. In the last twelve months, company sales volume is over $295 million.

Skrabec and White sold the company to Welsh earlier in the year. White has since retired, yet remains a licensed broker with the company. In repurchasing Live Urban, Skrabec acknowledged the amicable agreement to repurchase the brokerage was an easy decision. I love Live Urban. I created the brand, and it continues to have a special culture and vibe, which I found hard to leave behind.

He will resume his former position as President and owner of the company, focused on overall strategy and innovation, while continuing to nurture the Live Urban brand. Current Employing Broker Jana Miller will continue to lead the day-to-day management of the brokerage.

From its inception, Live Urban has been an innovative brokerage, blending skilled real estate counsel with leading edge marketing and support. From the start, Skrabec established an agency-like marketing department within the company, inspired by his previous experience as founder of Denver ad agency, Cactus. Live Urban offers a best-in-class' suite of marketing services, to both our home sellers and buyers, as well as our real estate agents, Skrabec adds.

Among Live Urban's recognition: #1 Small Business Workplace (The Denver Post 2015), #1 LGBT-owned company (Denver Business Journal 2016), Most Innovative Brokerage Finalist (Inman News 2011), Top 25 Residential Real Estate Brokerages (Denver Business Journal 2009-2017).
