It's tricky to find a good hike for visitors from out of town. You want to show them why you love living in Colorado, but you don't want to kill them, especially if they're coming in from lower elevations. Here's my favorite spot to take flatlanders for a beautiful hike that shows off Colorado without much elevation change.

If they can take a little climb, hit Tower Trail and check out the view from its namesake. Just like most trails that are close to the city, you'll have a little more solitude on a weekday.
For more info on Mt. Falcon and a trail map, go to http://jeffco.us/open-space/parks/mount-falcon-park/.
If you'd like to live down the road from the lower trailhead in Morrison, you'll want to check out theWillow Springs/Willowbrook neighborhoods, then callus or sendus an email.
