Live Urban Agents Tell You: Best Swimming Pools in the Denver Metro Area

The best Denver area pools, according to Live Urban Agents

All of a sudden, it seems like we went from a nice, cool Spring to the dog days of Summer! With temperatures in the 90s for what looks to be the foreseeable future, we asked our agents where they like to hang when it's hot!

We hope to see you lounging or swimming laps at one of our favorite Denver area pools soon!

John said:Water World! Yes, its crowded, and there are lots of unfortunate tattoo sightings. But if you get there when they first open, and pack in lots of rides in the morning, you'll have a riot! Rent your own tube for fun in the wave pool.

Ryan agrees:Waterworld! Although theslides tend to get a little crowded during the warm parts of the day, the wave pools are the bestplace to float around!

So does Stacey:IsecondWater World! The season pass is totally affordable, you can park for free and bring in your own cooler. We have such a blast riding the slides with our son!

Alli loves:EldoradoSprings Swimming Pool near Boulder! Go during the week to beat the crowds. It's very old school with an old school pool slide that is super fun! It's along a stream which makes it very relaxing and fun! Plus, its only $10 for adults and $7 for kiddos ALL DAY!

And so does Emily:Eldorado Swimming Pool. Pure, refreshing artesian spring water! Has changed a bit over the years, but still a fabulous place to cool off and a nice drive to get there too!

Vicki's pick:Mt.Princeton Hot Springs! Two pools with slides, lap lanes and all natural spring water ! The 3rd pool is the quiet serenity pool at the spa for adults only .Set in the pines with views of Mt Princeton a 14,000 peak just a few miles from Salida and Buena Vista ! Cabins and a lodge can make it more than a day trip !!! Love it in winter as well ! Fire pits by the Spa.

Kelly + her kids love:Anderson Pool in Wheat Ridge. I love the grassy section around the pool so you can be in the shade and comfortable in the chairs they provide. A great zero entry for little ones and a slide.

While Heather prefers:The Central Park Recreation Center in Stapleton! They have a lazy river you can walk for a great workout. The mountain views from this rec center are lovely too. Open to Denver residents for a small fee. If you are lucky enough to live in Stapleton or have friends in Stapleton, theirsix outdoor pools aresecondto none.

Stephanie thinks so too:Stapleton pools! There is something for everyone. Each pool is named after aviation related terminology.
Puddle Jumper ( for toddlers/ younger children), Aviator, F-15, Jet Stream, and Maverick, Runway 55 are located in Northfield! Bring your own adult beverages are welcome at all pools. Plus, pizza, sandwich and liquor storedelivery from nearby establishments are available. Super fun! Open to the public for a fee.

Karin's faves:We just got back from Glenwood Springs and the views from the hot springs are amazing. For some local funSplash in Golden is a great spot,2slides and a diving board and more budget friendly than some!
Stacie's kids think so too: With kids from 7-17, Splash in Golden has something for everyone, plus plenty of shade and a great concession stand!
And Brian said:If you have small kids (under 10-years old), Surfside Spray Park is a lot of fun. It's a playground with fountains, water toys, and water cannons, etc. Just off of Sheridan and 9th Ave and admission is just $1.Great for a picnic too.Check it out!
Babs loves:The J! Jewish Community Center -- baby pool, huge outdoor saltwater pool, and indoor saltwater pool and several shade structures. Includes a hamburger stand with soft drinks.

According to Brooke:Cherry Creek Athletic Club - huge, clean pools and one specifically adult one.

Did we miss your favorite swimming spot? Let us know and we will be happy to add it!

Happy Swimming!
