I'd say this is something that you don't see everyday, but there are neighborhoods west of Denver where seeing elk is not all that unusual. We were driving into Willow Springs and saw this guy.
The really cool thing about this is that you don't have to go all hermitand isolate yourself to live amongelk (and deer and other wildlife). Where I'm standing is 30 minutes to downtown Denver. You can work and play in the city all you want, then come home to this. It's not an "either/or".
By the way, check out how the elk totally nails his cue when I say, "Elk." That's talent. Even though they overindulged at craft service, the elks were all business on set.
