Project Angel Heart needs your help.

Did you know that Project Angel Heart clients who are severely underweight may quality for a breakfast bag in addition to their regular weekly meal bag?
Each week, volunteers fill them up with staples like breakfast cereal, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, and milk to help clients improve their strength.
How to Donate
Grab an extra box or two of cereal on your next shopping trip, or bring in an unopened box from your pantry to help us feed someone in need.
Donations can be dropped off at the Live Urban office at 3627 W. 32nd Avenue, or contact us to arrange a cereal pickup!

What to Donate
Because of their clients' unique health needs and difficulty preparing hot meals, we ask that you only bring in standard-sized boxes (no bulk or single serving boxes, please) of cold, whole-grain cereal (like Raisin Bran, regular Cheerios, Special K or Rice Krispies). We cannot accept sugary cereals (such as Lucky Charms, Apple Jacks, or Fruit Loops).

Project Angel Heartis now serving more than 900 clients per week. Over half of their clients are over age 60, 52% are women and nearly 10% of those we serve are dependents of clients. The most common diseases served are cancer, end-stage renal disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, HIV/AIDS and diabetes. Roughly 70% of the clients we serve receive a modified diet such as renal diet, low-fat, pureed, etc. This equates to an average of 45% of our meals being modified each day.
