What to do in Denver this weekend. Art Walk, Cinco de Mayo, Furry Scurry, Derby Party and MS Walk.

It is finally May and that means that weekends in Denver are about to get busy. I love this time of year and can't wait for all the amazing events our great city has planned. With the weather in the 80's, what better time to welcome spring, meet your long lost neighbors, and have some fun outside in Denver this weekend. Click on the name of each event for more information.

First Friday Art Walk - With the weather finally cooperating, First Friday Art Walks around Denver are going to be hopping tonight. I know that I'll be at Art Walk on Tennyson Street, maybe see you there?Cinco De Mayo Denver

Cinco de Mayo Festival - May 3rd to 4th, 10 to 8 in the Civic Center Park. An all day fest of all things Cinco de Mayo featuring chihuaha races, taco eating contests and chile cook off.

Walk MS at City Park - Saturday at 9:30. Connecting people living with MS and those who care about them.DERBY PARTY

Denver Derby Party -Sip mint juleps and watch the biggest horse race of the year in realtime on two Jumbotrons with hundreds of other Denverites. The proceeds benefit the Sean œRanch Lough Memorial Scholarship. Sat 1 p.m. At the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

Furry Scurry at Wash Park - Saturady, May 3rd.The Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry is an annual two-mile walk for animals that takes place at Denver's Washington Park on the first Saturday in May. As the Dumb Friends League's largest annual fundraiser, more than 12,000 people and 5,000 dogs join us for the walk and raise funds for the homeless pets in our care. The Furry Scurry has become a tradition for many Denver-area residents.
