How far is it around City Park in Denver? Seeing that it is one of the prettiest parks in all of Denver, it is pretty obvious why it is so popular for joggers and walkers. So after visiting the other day, I began to wonder how far around it it is. I consulted once again mapmyrun.com and was able to get some pretty accurate distances around different parts of the park.
If you are running or walking around the outer most paths in the park, it is about 2.21 miles.
If you are going around the entire exterior of the park, from 17th to Colorado to 23rd and back down York, then you are looking at 3 miles.
And I know that a lot of people like to run around 3 miles so I thought I would try to find a path through the park that would give you the three miles without having to run along the busy roads. Here is what I came up with. Combining these two paths gives you 3.14 miles and keeps you inside the park the entire time. Hope this helps and enjoy your run.
