Historic Holiday Tours at the Colorado Governor's Residence December 14-20, 2013 10am-2pm.

As the holiday season gets underway plan on taking your family to this annual tradition in Denver.

Again this year, the Colorado Governor's Residence located at 400 E 8th Avenue, Denver Colorado is decorated for the holidays and free tours begin Saturday, December 14 through Friday, December 20 from 10a.m. until 2p.m. daily so that all may enjoy the history and beauty of Colorado's Home.

The tours are free.

All guests are admitted on a first come, first served basis.

The Governor's Residence Preservation Fund welcomes large groups and encourages groups of 15 or more to call in advance so that lower traffic time periods, mainly weekdays, may be offered.

In the spirit of the season the American Society of Interior Designers Colorado Chapter has decorated the halls and rooms of the residence with holiday dÃcor inspired by the State china which features the beautiful, blue Columbine flower along with silver and gold, Colorado's precious minerals.

For the first time in 10 years, the exterior of the home has also been decorated and includes festive garland and the Colorado millennium tree lit by more than 3000 LED lights (an amazing sight from the Logan Street side of the property).

It is a great holiday tradition here in the City and one you and your family will enjoy.
