Do you want a way to give back to your community andparticipate in something truly transformational for your city? Then the BetterBlock Project is your chance. The Better Block Project is a concept sweepingthe nation where community partners band together to build a better block in asingle day. It sounds optimistic, sure, but it is working and our very ownJefferson Park has been selected for the first Better Block Project in Denver.
The date for the project is Saturday, June 23. Partners inthe project include the Partnership Walk Denver, Jefferson Park UnitedNeighbors, Groundwork Denver and Councilwoman Susan Shepherd. On June 23rd,the project will fill vacant storefronts, create pedestrian seating areas,provide landscaping and street furniture, redraw the street and pedestrianareas, provide live music and so much more.
