What new restaurants in Highlands do I need to try? It seems like a new one opens every month and according to many, each better than the last. And since people always want to try something new, especially when it comes to eateries, I get asked this a lot. So here are a few new ones that have popped up in the past few months around Highlands, LOHI and Berkeley. If you know of others that should be on this list, or that are coming soon, definitely let us know! And if they sound good, just click on the name to reach their website.
Ale House at Amato's - With over 40 beers on tap and one of the best views of Downtown in the city, the opening of this LOHI restaurant was highly anticipated. And from the reviews I have heard so far, it was worth the wait. Now that summer is around the corner, make a point to check out their amazing rooftop deck.
Lou's Food Bar - From famed Denver restaurateur Frank Bonanno, what's not to love about this brand new Sunnyside Restaurant? Described as American comfort food with a French influence, this updated joint on 38th is already winning awards.
Park Burger - After huge success in Platt Park, LOHI got their very own Park Burger this winter. Casual and fun with great burgers, shakes and fries, definitely a go to for a great burger in Highlands.
Spuntino - From the owners of Parisi comes a new Italian hot spot in LOHI. Served here isauthentic gelato, great coffee, pastries, gourmet popsicles, sandwiches, soups, and creative Italian small plates.
Hops and Pies - A terrific new pizza joint in Berkeley featuring craft beer and artisan pizza. An amazingIPA selection and the best mac and cheese you might ever taste.
And coming soon...
Linger - In the old Olinger building, this highly anticipated LOHIrestaurant should open in April. Stay tuned for more info.
