Where can I see Fireworks in Denver this year?

It's that time of year again, so where can I see fireworks in Denver this year? Below is a list of local communities who will be putting on Firework displays this weekend. There are some pretty incredible ones going on, so make sure you don't miss out.

ARVADA Fireworks kick off at night (9 p.m. ish) on July 4th at the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex located just west of Kipling on W. 58th Avenue. The fireworks are set to a musical simulcast on KOOL 105.1. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. Call 720-898-7400, or go to Arvada.org for more information. There will be lots of family fun which include a Kids Park with obstacle course, games, car show, temporary tattoos, food concessions, and entertainment all day. KOOL 105 will be hosting a classic car show. Parking will be on a first-come first-serve basis beginning at 2 p.m. No parking will be allowed on Kipling Street. Please remember that fireworks, alcohol and pets are not allowed in the Lutz/Stenger Sports ComplexAURORA Fireworks will be launched 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, on the west side the Aurora Municipal Center lawn and can be viewed within a two mile radius. It is the largest fireworks display in the metro area and a features a performance by the U.S. Army Band from Ft. Carson. Fireworks will be 25 minutes long and patriotic music will be simulcast on KEZW. The lawn at East Alameda Avenue and Chambers Road can fit about 2,000 people so there is limited seating. The fireworks also may be viewed from surrounding areas. Best viewing locations include east of Potomac Street, south of Sixth Avenue, north of Mississippi Avenue and west of Buckley Road. The fireworks at Southlands Mall have been canceled for this year. BLACK HAWK Fireworks will begin at sundown, about 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a night of gaming, dining and fireworks at historic Black Hawk. You can watch at any point in Black Hawk and the show will last about 30 minutes. More info at CityofBlackHawk.org or call 303-582-2235. BOULDER Fireworks spectacular at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado with Ralphie's Independence Day Blast. Fireworks, choreographed to live music, begin at 9:30 p.m. Gates open at 8 p.m. and program begins at 8:30 p.m. Admission to the fireworks display is free. For more information about parking and shuttle buses, go to Boulder4thofJuly.com. BRIGHTON Fireworks at Friendship Park on 8th and Southern St. on July 4. We will "Brighten the Brighton" sky at 9 p.m. Come at 6 p.m. and enjoy the music, concessions and other activities in the park. For more information, call the event hotline: (720) 685-7339. Learn more at BrightonCo.gov BROOMFIELD Great American Picnic and Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Broomfield County Commons, located at 132nd and Sheridan. We start our celebration at 6:30 p.m. with children's entertainment and carnival games. At 7 p.m. enjoy a free concert. Bring your picnic dinner or enjoy a hot dog grilled to perfection for a minimal cost at the park. After the concert, at dusk, the fireworks display begins, approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Broomfield Commons For additional information, call (303)-464-5530 or visit broomfield.org/events.CASTLE ROCK Rockin' the 4th will be held at Metzler Ranch Park, 4175 Trail Boss Road. It's a holiday helping of family fun with kids events, live entertainment and of course, a fireworks show. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and ends with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. The website for the event is the website for the Town of Castle Rock.
COMMERCE CITY
On July 4, the fireworks will start after the Rapids game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Colorado Rapids v. New York Red Bulls MLS game begins at 7 p.m. Tickets required to enter stadium. Get to the stadium early for the free pregame œ4thFest festival at the stadium, featuring food, interactive elements, family activities and live bands! Following the game, there will be a free concert by national recording artists Meese, in their final-ever Denver concert! DENVER
Fireworks and Colorado Symphony Concert at Civic Center Park on SATURDAY, July 3 at 8 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, coincides with the beginning of both the Biennial of the Americas and The Colorado Symphony's summer season. The Independence Eve Celebration will be accented with an innovative light show on the Denver City and County Building and a stunning fireworks finale. Lawn seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; blankets or low-rise concert/beach chairs are encouraged. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics; concessions will also be present on-site. In the event of rain, the concert may have a delayed start or be cancelled but the fireworks will continue at 9:15 p.m. Fireworks at Coors Field after the Colorado Rockies' evening games on FRIDAY, July 2 and SATURDAY July 3 against the San Francisco Giants. Learn more at InvescoFieldAtMileHigh.com Blues Traveler Concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The concert begins at 6 p.m. Red Rocks provides a good view of the fireworks show downtown. For more information contact: 303-830-TIXS. The 18th Annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival will be taking place July 3-5. The arts festival weekend event is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts. EDGEWATER
Fireworks will be set off on SATURDAY July 3 at Citizens Park at 24th and Chase St. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. Vendors will begin serving drinks and food at 4 p.m. Fireworks will begin around 8:30 or 9 p.m. For more information, go to www.edgewaterco.com or call call 303-238-7803 ext. 128.
ENGLEWOOD
Fireworks display will be launched from the baseball fields at Cornerstone Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4th and can be seen from Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks. As a reminder, all alcohol, glass containers, pets and fireworks are strictly prohibited.
GLENDALE
Fireworks are scheduled for SATURDAY, July 3rd at 9 p.m.. The fireworks are shot off at Creekside Park, at E. Virginia Ave. and S. Clermont St. Come early to play in the new park just south of the Infinity Park stadium; and then walk up Cherry Street to snag your favorite viewing location because views of the fireworks will be limited from Infinity Park South. GOLDEN
Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Lions Park, located 10th and Maple Streets. The Golden Lions Club will sponsor the day's activities at Lions Park. Park in the outlying parking lots to avoid the congestion on 10th St. after the fireworks. Entertainment will be provided all day from various bands. HIGHLANDS RANCH
Fireworks will set off at 9:30 p.m. at the Intersection of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Town Center Drive on the 4th. For more information call 303-791-2500. For more info, click here. There will also be a family pet and bike parade, community parade, kiddie games and a street market. Parking available around the Highlands Ranch Town Center.
LAKEWOOD
Celebrate Lakewood on Parade on SATURDAY, July 3! Art activities, games and rides for the kids, live music and a beer garden for the adults and food and fireworks for the entire family. The festival begins at 1 p.m. at the Jefferson County Sports Stadium, located at 500 Kipling Street (just south of 6th Ave.), Learn more at LakewoodonParade.org.
LITTLETON
Fourth of July Festivities on July 4. A spectacular fireworks show will be launched from the baseball fields at Cornerstone Park. Other activities will take place at Belleview, Cornerstone and Progress Parks (near South Windermere and West Belleview Avenues.) Food concessions will be available. Face painting and field games start at 4 p.m. Go to Littleton.gov for more information.
LONE TREE
Residents from Lone Tree and Acres Green are invited to attend Lone Tree's annual Independence Day Celebration, featuring the City's fourth annual Firecracker 5K Run, community parade, live entertainment, activities for kids, local food vendors and spectacular fireworks show. Wristbands are required to enter the celebration at Sweetwater Park. Each household in Lone Tree and Acres Green can pick up four (4) wristbands and purchase an additional four (4) wristbands at $5 each (while supplies last). You must show a driver's license or billing statement with your current address to receive the wristbands. Kids ages 3 and under do not need to wear a wristband. MORRISON
Fireworks Display at Bandimere Speedway on SATURDAY, July 3. Gates open at 3 p.m. Discount tickets are available at Big O Tires locations and advance tickets can be purchased at White Fence Farm, Mardel, and the Bandimere Speedway's Box Office. Tickets required to see the fireworks and the races. Click here or call (800) 664-8946 or 303-697-6001. Adults are $20 ($17 advance) and children 6-15 are $13 ($11 advance). Day begins at 8:30 a.m. with qualifying racing. Rides, live music and contests begin at 3 p.m..
NORTHGLENN
Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. over Webster Lake at E.B Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 117th Avenue and Community Center Drive (S.E corner of 120th and I-25.) Scheduled activities include a pancake breakfast, a bake sale, a kids' fun area with inflatables and a military recognition. Pedal boats will be available for rent throughout the day and during the fireworks show. Call 303-450-8713 for more information or go to Northglenn.org.
PARKER
Let Freedom Sing Celebration, including a professional fireworks show is on SATURDAY July 3 at from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at at its new location at Salisbury Park, 9200 Motsenbocker Road. Concert by Slopeside. The event continues at 8:30 p.m. when 35-piece brass band, Rocky Mountain Brassworks takes the stage and performs rousing patriotic favorites and Sousa marches. The fireworks display, which is set to music, begins at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be available on site at the Salisbury Equestrian Park, south of the ball fields' lots. Regular and handicap reserved parking will both be available for $5. No alcohol is permitted at the park or parking lots. Admission to the event is free. WESTMINSTER
Fireworks begin at dusk at Westminster City Park soccer field, at 105th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. Celebrate the 4th of July in Westminster. Food vendors open at 6 pm. A free concert by The Nacho Men starts at 7 pm followed by fireworks at 9:15 pm. Parking is VERY LIMITED. Use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in the Westminster/Hyland Hills area. GRILLS, FIREWORKS, and GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed at the event. For more information, check out the city's Web site or call 303-658-2223.
