I've got gardening on my mind this week, and I'm craving fresh veggies, home-grown eggs and all the yummy herbs and greens that we plant every year. Yes, we are late for spring planting but it's been a busy Real Estate spring!
This popped into my email this morning and I just had to sharewhat a cool idea. I can think of about a dozen good reasons to have one of these mobile gardens including the hail that shredded our little urban farm last year we could have just moved this under the covered patio to wait out the storm!

From the company's website:
Talk about food revolution! We searched far and wide for a mobile garden container, and finally found a line that's truly well designed, great lookingand well priced. We are proud to introduce to the U.S. market the BACSAC by a trio of ParisiansGodefroy de Virieu, Louis de Fleurieu and Virgile Desurmont. Suitable for all climes, BACSACs are made from a 100% RECYCLABLE material that is UV-, frost-, tear- and traction-resistant and is permeable to let soil breathe and drain with limited evaporation while protecting roots. This light-weight portable bag enables you to go from terrace to rooftop, from one address to another, rotating crops year-round. We've got a couple of medium squares growing all kinds of salad mixings now. All Square and Long BACSACs are based on 12 squares; web straps and rods keep shape under the weight of the soil and provide subdivision of growing surface. Round BACSACs come in six sizesfrom mini 0.8 gallon to a grand 40 gallon. The Jarniniere provides a small double option, and the Satchel and AccrochÃe allow for balcony-suspended gardens. Suspendu is happy hanging out anywhere. Can't wait to munch a bunch.
Global Design has a ton of really great gardening products. Happy growing!
