Do's and Don'ts for Keeping your Pup Safe this Independence Day
Fourth of July Fireworks are fun and exciting for us, but can be truly terrifying for our pets. It can cause them to go into Fight or Flight Mode, either destroying the house or leaving a Fido sized hole in the window screen. More dogs go missing and end up in shelters on Fourth of July weekend than any other time of year. According to PetAmberAlert.com, animal control sees a 30-60% increase in lost pets on July 4-6 every year. Sadly only 14% are returned to their owners. We want your dog to be safe and happy this Independence Day, so we've put together a list of Do's and Dont's to minimize the negative impact on your best friend.
