Corcoran Perry & Co. - Bear Valley

The Bear Valley Neighborhood

Developed in the 1950 and 1960s as Denver expanded westward, Bear Valley was one of Denver’s first suburban neighborhoods. Winding streets filled with quaint ranch and mid-century homes are generally well-maintained, and Bear Valley Park threads its way through the community, following the path of Bear Creek. Unsinkable” Molly Brown built her summer home here, now the Molly Brown Summer House Museum and Event Center. Plentiful suburban-style shopping and dining are nearby, and quick access to US 285 provides easy connection to the city center as well as the mountains.

Bear Valley's Neighborhood Rankings

3/10Walking Score

While Bear Valley offers the wonderful amenities of Bear Valley Park and the scenic Bear Creek running through it, it's important to keep in mind that having a car is essential for most of your outings and errands due to the area's transportation setup.

3/10Transportation Score

While the neighborhood does provide public transportation options, it's worth noting that their convenience might be somewhat limited. With four bus lines available, it's important to consider that they may impose certain constraints on the range of destinations you can easily access.

5/10Local Score

Featuring amenities such as Bear Valley Park, New York Bagel Cafe, and a public library, this neighborhood offers a fair range of conveniences. While there might be a higher presence of chain restaurants compared to local spots, if you have a preference for classic fast food, you'll find everything you require right here.

3/10Convenience Score

You have a couple of choices on the outskirts of the neighborhood like Natural Grocers, Walmart, and King Soopers for your weekly grocery trip.

EASYParking

Parking in this community is easy, sparing you the hassle and sweat. In contrast to the parking challenges in many other Denver areas, you'll find ease and convenience here.

TAMEVibe

This urban-suburban neighborhood has a wide variety of residents from retirees to young professionals and their families. You'll constantly see people walking or cycling along the Bear Creek Trail.

3/10Densitiy
