Corcoran Perry & Co. - Bonnie Brae

The Bonnie Brae Neighborhood

Bonnie Brae was developed in the 1920s, and is home to one of urban Denver's most vibrant neighborhood commercial districts. The neighborhood's unusual street patterns don't follow the typical city street grid, and its winding streets surround an elliptical-shaped park. It’s a serene residential enclave, and its beautiful homes, mostly built in the 30s and 40s, line the quiet streets. With many of its original constructions intact, homes range from cozy oldies to million dollar new constructions. Located just southeast of Downtown Denver happenings, the Bonnie Brae neighborhood offers the quiet neighborhood feel with accessibility to all the city has to offer! Plus, some of Denver’s favorite dining is located in the heart of Bonnie Brae for residents’ enjoyment.

Bonnie Brae's Neighborhood Rankings

6/10Walking Score

Though Bonnie Brae’s University stretch offers some of Denver’s most quintessential spots, other conveniences will require transportation. But if you love to stroll, you’ll adore the shaded streets in this neighborhood.

5/10Transportation Score

This secluded Denver neighborhood has several RTD stops, but not much else. However, this neighborhood’s easy access to I-25 makes commuting to the DTC or Downtown a breeze.

8/10Local Score

The Bonnie Brae Tavern has remained a thriving pizza destination since 1934, boasting original decor and family recipes. Katherine’s French Bakery & Cafe has served scrumptious pastries and European-inspired lunches to the Bonnie Brae neighborhood for over 10 years! And, Bonnie Brae Ice Cream remains a famed Denver location for made-at-the-site flavors.

3/10Convenience Score

Though Conoco is the most prominent convenience officially in the Bonnie Brae neighborhood, the community is just a stone’s throw from great grocery and other chain locations in Cherry Creek, University and Washington Park.

HIT AND MISS
Parking

A local dining destination, parking can be dicey near Bonnie Brae’s University blocks. However, venture into the residential streets and you’ll have a bit more more luck (just watch out for street sweeping!)

COZY AND VIBRANT
Vibe

Bonnie Brae’s quaintly posh homes, tree lined streets, and nostalgic storefronts offer residents a hometown feel while popular dining keeps the area abuzz.

6/10Densitiy

Bonnie Brae has truly capitalized on its space, leaving little wiggle room, but comfortable (albeit not large) lot sizes. This neighborhood “houses” mostly single-family dwellings.
