
It doesn't come as a surprise that the Denver rental market increased by half a percent in the past month. Even though there has been a massive amount of apartments added (According to the Apartment Association of Metro Denver 10,000 new apartments), its still not enough to accommodate newcomers. Is it better to rent than own nowadays? From the look of this article nothing is stopping the Denver rental rates from continuing its increasing.
DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Denver rental rates rose in the past month. How much they rose depends upon whom you ask.
San Francisco-basedApartment Listreported Wednesday that Denver rents grew by 0.5 percent in the past month, and prices are up 1.1 percent above last year, with median rent for one-bedrooms in Denver rising to $1,350, and two-bedrooms rising to $1,740.
Over at apartment rentalappZumper, also from San Francisco, Denver moved up two spots to become the nation's 22nd-most expensive city to rent, with one-bedroom and two bedroom rentals both increasing 2.5 percent in the past month to $1,220 and $1,610, respectively.
In the Denver metro area, according to Apartment List, Highlands Ranch is the most expensive area to rent, with the median rent for a one-bedroom apartment at $1,860, and Centennial is second with the median rent for a one-bedroom at $1,760.
"Rents in Highlands Ranch have grown by a staggering 16.1 percent in the past year,"Apartment List said in its latest report.
