There aren't many neighborhoods around Denver that have big lots and big trees. Applewood is one and that's why so many people who want to live West of Denver move to Applewood.
Or Applewoods. There are a handful that makes up what we call Applewood, which fall in either Wheat Ridge, Lakewood or Golden. The homes are mostly mid-century, with a little newer construction sprinkled in here and there. There's a good variety in design, so Applewood is not boring. However, that variety includes some bad. I've seen a number of floor plans and "features" in Applewood that make absolutely no sense. If you've been looking at real estate long enough, you know that when a Realtor describes a home as "unique" in the listing, 9 times out of 10 it's completely wacked out. You'll see some "unique" homes in Applewood.

Location is a huge selling point for Applewood. You can get to the city quickly and easily by car, bike or bus, but you're also really close to downtown Golden and tons of hiking in and around Golden.
