Colorado has a reputation for altitude, outdoors, and craft beer. The bakery part is newer to the conversation, but it has arrived. In the last decade, the state has produced some of the most technically accomplished bakers in the country: James Beard nominees, New York Times picks, gold medalists at international bread competitions, working out of everything from food halls to historic grain mills to strip malls that have no business producing croissants this good. 

At the start of the year, Denver’s housing market signaled cautious participation. The March 2026 Denver housing market report answered back. Pending sales jumped nearly 30% month over month. Closed sales followed. New listings rose both month over month and year over year. Active inventory reached its highest level in some time. And on February 26, the 30-year fixed mortgage rate touched 5.98% (the first time it had closed below 6% since 2022).

Denver Restaurant Week has been running since 2005, when it launched with a $52.80-per-couple prix fixe, a nod to the city's elevation that was charming then and would be a steal now. The format has grown: multi-course menus at $25, $35, $45, or $55 per person, spanning everything from a Cajun seafood boil in Lakewood to a rooftop Pan-Latin tasting in RiNo. 

If you know Don Draper, you know the mid-century modern aesthetic. And even if you don’t, you’ve seen it in the optimism of The Jetsons, the tailored glamour of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the polished suburban scenes of Catch Me If You Can, or perhaps in a well-preserved living room that once belonged to your grandparents.

The 2025 Corcoran Perry & Co. Awards were held at our Congress Park office, which meant the same conference table that hosts pricing debates was temporarily lined with charcuterie. Inspection responses were nudged aside to make room for champagne. A few agents were still mid-text with lenders when the first name was called. In this business, momentum doesn’t pause for applause.

In January, more listings came to market, more buyers attempted transactions, and fewer of those attempts made it to closing. According to the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, active inventory rose to 8,228, up 8.2% month over month and 7.0% year over year… an unusual move for a month that typically contracts.

Interior decor trends have a way of taking inspiration from the runways… but with a year-long delay. Clothes test looks first (colors, proportions, textures, moods) without triggering the commitment-phobic among us. By the time those ideas reach living rooms, they’ve been edited, softened, and translated from fleeting trends into a more timeless version of home style. It’s easier to try something bold when it can be folded, returned, or exiled to the back of a drawer. Furniture and paint don’t get that kind of escape route.
