Is it possible to find horse property for sale in Denver? Itcertainly is a great question with lots of conflicting answers. To many out ofstate buyers, they think Denver is still part of the wild, wild west and thatwe still ride horses to work. To those that live in the metro area that is nowover 3 million people, the idea of owning horse property in the actual city ofDenver seems like something of the past.
If you are looking more in the suburbs, it is quite possibleto find horse property on acreage still in areas like west Arvada, Golden,Castle Rock, Parker and parts of Boulder County. If we focus more on centralDenver though, the options definitely narrow. There have only been 3 homes onthe market that have sold in the past two years that are zoned for horses.
I did find a fabulous property that just went up for sale inLakewood however located at 755 Holland. It is just off Highway 6 so only about10 minutes to Downtown, and 10 minutes to Golden. It is 5 blocks to the lightrail and even has a stream running through the yard with water rights. A 4 cargarage provides plenty of room for toys and horse equipment and with huge treesand no street lights, has a great country feel to it. And the house is just as niceas the property featuring 4 beds, 4 baths with a full basement and completelyremodeled in the past few years. To see more details and pictures, click here. It is a great option for those whowork Downtown but still want horses and don't want to commute for hours everyday.
