Light Rail's W Line Opening in April

For those of us living on the west side, we know and appreciate all the benefits. We are minutes away from the mountains, we have gloriously easy access to I-70, C-470 and 6thAve, we rarely fight traffic on our daily errands, and many of us enjoy huge lots and amazing mountain views. But the one thing we don't have is a light rail train option to get downtown. But on April 26 that changes... We will be able to say that living on the west side has it all! The West Rail of the FastTracks light rail will finally be open.

What that means for all residents of Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge and Lakewood is that we'll be able to take a quick jaunt to a nearby parking lot and hop on the light rail. No more looking for parking when we want a night out downtown. It means that the west side will finally join the rest of Denver in having this element of urban living that makes the city so great.

This also means that property values near the new light rail line will continue to increase. I have many clients who are aware of the new line and are specifically looking for homes with convenient access.

I for one will be buying a lot more Rockies tickets this year, and will look forward to checking out many new restaurants, galleries, and other downtown hot spots. I know I'm not alone in counting down the days to the new W Line grand opening!
