Viva Streets is coming to the Highlands August 11th. Save the date.

Plan to join North West Denver for a great FREE community and family fun event, Viva Streets Berkeley, on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 10 AM til 3 PM.

For the first time ever in the Highlands, LiveWell Colorado and Bike Denver will introduce Viva Streets to the Berkeley Regis neighborhood on Tennyson Street creating a car-free parkway for all Denverites to enjoy. It will be a great day to visit Tennyson by bike, foot, stoller and more!

Besides enjoying the freedom to "take it to the streets" there will also be live music, food & drink and many fun activities to get your body moving. Stay tuned for a schedule of all the fun events! But until then please mark your calender and plan to spend a great day in Berkeley!

More about Viva Streets: The goal of Viva Streets is to introduce the public to the many benefits that come from increased walking and biking in our local communities, and highlight safe and active transportation. Viva Streets has been a tremendous success for the past two years in the Park Hill area of Denver, bringing together more than 10,000 people as we celebrated our City streets' potential to get people moving and to strengthen Colorado's healthy, active culture.

Closed to cars, the streets come alive with walkers, bikers, runners, strollers, hula-hoopers, dancers, paraders, musicians, healthy food purveyors and others who want to play in the streets for the day. We will see you there!
