At Live Urban Real Estate, we're passionate about giving back to the community on behalf of our clients.

When you successfully close a real estate transaction with us, we'll donate a portion of our commission to support the local cause of your choice from our list of Live and Give recipients.

You'll be moving on in your own life knowing that you've helped to improve the lives of others! At your closing, you'll simply choose the local organization that you'd like to support.

For 2015, Live Urban agents nominated and voted for three local non-profit organizations to benefit from our Live and Give Program. We will be distributing funds to the following organizations on behalf of our clients on Colorado Gives Day:

COLORADO PET PANTRY

Colorado Pet Pantry pet food bank began in June 2013 with the mission of temporarily feeding Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for pets with the goal of keeping them out of shelters and with their families. The organization partners directly with human food banks, a distribution method which has proven to be mutually beneficial. Because the pet food bank is consistently in each location monthly, EVERYONE in a neighborhood knows that they have a place to turn when pet food becomes a challenge. As the organization continues to expand, there will be entire neighborhoods that are able to keep their pets when budgets get tight, which will lead to more stability in homes and communities, let alone the health benefits of having a pet, throughout the Denver- and Boulder-metro areas. ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING FOR KIDS

ELK opens new doors of opportunity by engaging and mentoring youth through science education, outdoor experiences, and leadership development programs that provide a real-life context for learning. Youth experience Colorado's natural world, increase their academic skills, become involved in their neighborhoods, and get exposure to careers in the field of natural resources and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). ELK youth grow into stewards and engaged citizens, while cultivating strong educational values to ensure high school and college graduation. Learn more athttp://www.elkkids.org/

THE GATHERING PLACE

Homelessness in the Denver metro area affects nearly 12,000 individuals each year, and over 50% of those affected are women and children. The Gathering Place is Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness or poverty. There is no other place for women, their children or transgender individuals to go during the day in Denver. It is located on Colfax and High Streets and is often thought of or referred to as an overnight shelter, but it is not. It is more accurately described as a community center on steroids! The face of homelessness is so much different than what is portrayed in mass media or what is seen on street corners. Everyone's life can change on a dime no one is immune to the curves that life can throw at us. Learn more athttp://www.tgpdenver.org/

If you're looking for an awesome local organization to support on Colorado Gives Day, we would recommend any of these non-profits.

If you would like your local, non-profit organization to be considered for our Live and Give Program in 2016, please reach out to your favorite Live Urban agent and ask them to nominate you, or fill out our Contact Form and an agent will be in touch.
