Announcing our 2016 Live and Give Program Recipients

For 2016, Live Urban agents have nominated and voted for three local non-profit organizations to benefit from ourLive and Give Program.

Beyond providing excellent service and expert transparent real estate guidance to all our clients, the brokers of Live Urban Real Estate are committed to engage with our local community and give back. We are committed to our mission of improving the communities we serve and that's why we've created our Live and Giveprogram.

We will be distributing funds to the following organizations on behalf of our clients in 2016:

FLORENCE CRITTENTON

Florence Crittenton Services is a Denver nonprofit that educates, prepares, and empowers teen mothers to become productive members of the community. Using a two-generation approach, the organization provides learning and development opportunities to pregnant and parenting girls and their children with three integrated programsthe Student and Family Support Program, the Early Childhood Education Center and Florence Crittenton High School. While nationally only 38% of pregnant and parenting girls complete high school, Florence Crittenton Services achieved a 94.4% graduation rate in 2015.

Providing social-emotional support and life skills training, parenting education, after-school tutoring, and financial literacy that make it possible for teen mothers to succeed, not only academically, but also as parents. Florence Crittenton Services' on-site, licensed, Colorado Shines-rated Early Childhood Education Center addresses the education and development needs of young children from six weeks old through Pre-K. In partnership with Denver Public Schools, Florence Crittenton Services celebrated the grand opening of the new and expanded Florence Crittenton Campus in September 2015. THE BLUE BENCH

At The Blue Bench (formerly RAAP), the mission is to eliminate sexual assault and diminish the impact it has on individuals, their loved ones and our community through comprehensive issue advocacy, prevention and care.Sexual assault is a community issue that calls for a community response through prevention and education, issue advocacy and a shift in how we think and talk about sexual violence.The Blue Bench offers aPathway to Prevention, a series of prevention and education programs that build and mature with the individual, from youth to adult. Each stage offers age-appropriate content and is designed to engage, empower and educate through social context.

From the earliest moments after sexual assault, through medical and legal logistics, to counseling for long-term emotional and functional health, The Blue Bench provides support every step of the way. Our Continuum of Care, led by a professional Care Team, allows victims, their families and friends to come to be heard, believed and supported, regardless when the sexual assault occurred. We help navigate the system, accompany and support survivors throughout the process.All survivor services are available to women, men and teens.The goal of these programs and services is to help survivors establish a sense of empowerment, self-sufficiency and self-certainty through counseling and support. MILE HIGH YOUTH CORPS

The Mile High Youth Corps mission is tohelp youth make a difference in themselves and their community through meaningful service opportunities and educational experiences.

Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization established in 1992 to give youth ages 16 to 24 a chance to earn an income and learn hands-on job skills while serving in their communities. In its first year, 20 youth served Denver neighborhoods through a single 10-week program. Today, MHYC engagesmore than200 youth (called Corpsmembers) every year through severalcomprehensive programs that integrate paid work experience on community service projects with leadership development, career exploration and education.During its 23 year history, Mile High Youth Corps has grown from a small, seasonal, neighborhood-based organization to a comprehensive, year-round, regional program serving 15 counties from two regional offices, Metro Denver and the Southern Front Range of Colorado.
