Live Urban Agents Tell You: Best Bars on Rockies Game Days

The Colorado Rockies have their Home Opener this Friday!

Can you believe it's already baseball season? It seems like just last week or so ago it was totally blizzarding in the Mile High City (oh...wait...)

Anyway, in celebration of our home team's Opening Day, we asked Live Urban agents their favorite places to hang on game days:

Brookesaid:Breck on Blake! It's huge so you almost never have to wait and enormous selection of craft beers.

Kelleysaid:So many options!I think the rooftops are awesome before Rock's games....LoDo's,Tavern,Jackson's,View House....who doesn't love some sunshine and a beer? Perfect combo!

Laurensaid:Avanti, that roof deck is going to be a party.

Lizsaid:Before the game -Love Dinner at the9th Door- Spanish Tapas and Sangria Options.Falling Rockbecause of their variety in beers from all over the world - nice patio. Close to the stadium. After the game -Viewhouse/Taverngood/fun atmosphere after the game. ;)

Davesaid:Pon Pon@2528 Walnut Street.Pon Pon is a funky, artsy, small bar with a totally unique 70's vibe. It's an easy walk to or from Coors Field, but a good distance away from the typical Rockies Game bar scene. They play great music, too.

Briansaid:Jax- great happy hour and usually not as crowded as others closer to the stadium. Great seafood too!

Here's a curveball for you too: The Rooftop Bar tickets inside Coors field. Many people are unaware of this. A $14 ticket there in the Rooftop gets you a $6 credit at the bar. In addition to that, if you get to the Rooftop prior to the first pitch of the game (any game), they offer you happy hour prices at the bar! What a concept, and that is why that Rooftop section is always packed!

Ryansaid:Jacksons!!

Suesaid: On Opening Day,Ophelia'sis having an 80's band that should be really fun, but outside decks are really the best.Viewhouse, Tavern andLodo's,Fado'sand Chop House always have fun patios with outdoor bbqs, great people watching and feels really festive right by Coors Field.

Nancysaid:Union Station!!!For both before and after the game, Union Station has so many great places for all tastes.

Jensaid:Jacksons-large outdoor patio+Icehouse-cheap drinks+Fado-good food!

Kellysaid:Wynkoop Brewery. WHY: Great beer served in an amazing historical LoDo building where you can play pool!

What's your game day plan? Ready to get your purple on and party?! We'll see you at Opening Day...Go Rockies!
