Live Loves to Give!

Live Urban is thrilled to announce three local charities selected to receive a lump-sum donation under the agency's popular "Live and Give" program. Now in its third year, the program donates a portion of proceeds each year to three nonprofits selected by Live Urban agents. Upon a successful property closing, we ask our clients to designate the charity they would most like to receive the donation.

Over the years, thousands of dollars have been donated to charities serving a variety of people and causes in need, including youth, animals, homelessness and victims of sexual assault.

We look forward to partnering with the 2017 Live and Give charities and doing our part to assist their worthwhile efforts.

Extended Hands of Hope's mission is to offer safe housing and supportive services to survivors of minor sex trafficking. We do this through Avanti House, safe housing for girls ages 12-17, and Carriers of Hope Mentoring Program, a survivor-led program for girls ages 12-21. Sex trafficking is not just an international issue, but also a booming business right here in Denver. 123 minors were recovered from sex trafficking by the FBI Innocence Lost Task Force in 2016. The average age of a victim is 15 years old. Avanti House is the fi rst and only safe home specifically for teen survivors of sex trafficking in the Denver area. These young girls should be worrying about painting their nails and having sleepovers, but instead, they are being abused and exploited and they don't deserve this. Through trauma-informed care, safe housing, therapy, life-skill classes, and mentoring support, young women can begin to see that they are loved and valuable. We believe that EVERY GIRL deserves a childhood and a chance at fulfilling their dreams with confidence and courage!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) mission throughout its 67 year history is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. The Rocky Mountain LLS Chapter is the leading source of free, highly specialized blood cancer information, education and support for patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals throughout Colorado and Wyoming. LLS recognizes that finding cures is not enough; we need to ensure that patients have access to the treatments, services and providers they need to live longer, healthier lives. By supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Live & Give program, you will help us get closer to living in a world without blood cancers.
