Home Sweet Home: 2017 trends to keep your digs beautiful and inviting

Staying on top of the latest home trends can keep even an HGTV devotee busy. Knowing what's in and what's out can be important for sellers wanting top dollar and buyers wanting the latest features that define the comforts of home. Paint! - Taupe is the new gray grays have been the go-to color for quite awhile. It's neutral enough to satisfy most tastes, but more exciting than variations on white. The new trending color is taupe, which is considered a œwarmer neutral. Sherwin Williams has a good one Poised Taupe try it and transform any room!

Walkability in the 'burbs The walkable suburban neighborhood is becoming a big trend. People want to live close to a business district and public transport, so the suburbs are answering this call by creating inviting urban centers that people want to live near and enjoy. Metro Denver has its share of walkable suburbs explore one today!

Granite shmanite It is not all about granite anymore. Quartz, quartzite and even some laminates that look like stone, concrete or distressed metal are gaining in popularity. Many are more cost effective, greener and do not show the wear and tear that granite and some stones show. If your kitchen needs a new countertop, you might even have an option to not have to remove the old counters. Now, that's an idea worth hearing!

Office in PJ's The number of people working from home, who aren't self-employed, has increased substantially over the past several years. Because so many of you are working from home at least one day a week, the home office is becoming a huge necessity. Interestingly, a dedicated room is not really necessary, but rather the space (built-ins, dual purpose furnishings, etc.) is the largest factor for those needing a home office space.
