Corcoran Perry & Co. - Sun Valley

The Sun Valley Neighborhood

Sun Valley sits just south of Empire Field at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos. Relatively new, STEAM on the Platte, is a mixed-use community developed from the adaptive reuse of a historic warehouse and bow string building into creative office and restaurant space. One of the tenants and local favorites, Raíces Brewing Company, is a Latino-owned and operated brewpub that features award-winning craft beers, a rotating Latin American food selection, and ongoing cultural events. Meow Wolf, an immersive, interactive arts and entertainment space, transports audiences of all ages into fantastic realms.

Sun Valley's Neighborhood Rankings

6/10Walking Score

Though Sun Valley offers decent sidewalks for walking, running, and cycling, most conveniences will require transportation.

7/10Transportation Score

With five bus lines, five rail lines, and a bike score of 8, you'll be able to get where you need. The bus lines run on West 10th Ave, Colfax Ave, and Federal Blvd. The Light Rail Stations are Decatur & Federal, Auraria West, and 10th & Osage, providing residents with many options for commuting, running errands, or going out an about for arts and entertainment.

6/10Local Score

Although this neighborhood is home to Empower Field at Mile High, there isn't much going on within the community. A lot of Sun Valley houses small, local businesses.

4/10Convenience Score

Finding a chain convenience store may be a little difficult with only two local grocers, Ready Foods Inc and Decatur Fresh. You'll have to pop over to an adjacent neighborhood for some other options such as Safeway, King Soopers, or Trader Joe's.
