We have bought and sold a multitude of homes in the US and abroad and have never had an agent that was so detailed oriented, great at communicating and knowing where to better direct a buyer for legal advice. We are friends with Paul Kourkoulis and knew he would be a wonderful realtor. He's personable, friendly, and a hard worker. However, we were just a bit nervous that because he specializes in urban realty in the City, he may not have that in depth knowledge we were seeking of the suburban neighborhood we wanted to move to. We let Paul know how we felt and he immediately put any fears we had to rest by addressing each of the specific neighborhood-related questions we had. He was an EXCELLENT realtor in all ways and was very on top of communication and deadlines. We would absolutely use Paul again and would recommend him to other people we know looking for realtors too.

I was a first time home-buyer and was referred to Paul Kourkoulis by two co-workers. I had initially started my search with another broker, but felt as if I was being rushed into things and that the broker was going through the motions.
From the beginning, Paul was on top of the game. He took hand written notes during our first meeting. They could have just been doodles, but judging by the speed in which he crafted searches and started to figure out what really mattered to me they were not doodles.
Based on our initial conversation, comments I left on listings, and some follow-up questions; Paul and I went looking for places to see how well we would work together. I was lucky in that we both turned to each other during the day and said, "This is it." It's very reassuring when both you and your realtor make the same realization.
After we found my current home, we continued our search. What I particularly remember is that Paul and I went into a house. It was a flip and there were a few corners cut. I appreciated that Paul was looking out for me and identified a code issue that could portend there would be more significant ones later.
However, it soon became clear that the space would be more than I what would need and was pushing the upper limit of my affordable range. After I expressed these concerns, Paul reached out to the building's owner and informed me that there was another smaller unit available. We looked at it the next day. It had all the features that attracted me to the larger unit but was more correctly sized to my needs.
Prior to making the offer, Paul sat me down to go over the process. As a first-time homebuyer he wanted to make sure I understood how things worked. He worked with the seller to arrange a delayed earnest money deposit due to some travel I had planned. During the steps leading up until closing I felt assured I could reach Paul and he would respond to my questions no matter how small. Even after closing, he's been able to answer any questions and send referrals for services I need.
I also appreciate that he, along with the Live Urban Team, donates a portion of their commissions to a charity that you get to choose.
So in essence, Paul does his homework. He knows his neighborhoods. He listens (and takes notes) to best match your needs to the correct area. He is responsive and never makes you feel small in the process by talking down to you. He really is your partner in the process.

We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent viewing homes with Paul. He was genuinely interested in learning more about us as people in order to find the right home to suit our needs. Paul does a great job of providing valuable perspectives without imposing his own preferences. He provided all the necessary information to help us make the best choice on our new home. He also has a keen understanding of all the legalities and technicalities involved in the home buying process, and his ability to explain them to us laypeople was much appreciated. We will gladly work with Paul again in the future.
