We worked more closely with Kristi, but both Nicole and Kristi were very helpful whenever we had questions or concerns. When you are selling a home that you've lived in for 27 years, it can be very emotional. Their support, advice and calm demeanor was invaluable. When I signed with them, it was because I thought it might be a slower market and it could be a year or more.
I knew I could hang with K and N ifor the long haul.
By fluke the house sold in two days. I showed the house and let them know (the buyer left a note on the door.)
Sounds easy, right. Well, up to the end the buyer was the type of person who wants every last drop of blood from a sale. They paid my price, and had 8k in new carpet but asked for furniture, indoor and outdoor, for free. That is when you realize why a realtor earns every bit of commission. I wanted out, and called Land Title and an attorney to get out of the contract. Kristi ended up closing with them; they weren't signing over an outdoor cocktail table. It was so unpleasant and I truly felt bullied by the buyer. I put an end to the negotiating and Kristi was there to relay my message and it closed. Nicole was there the whole time on the front end. So- don't do it yourself. Let really good agents work.
