I'm a Baylor grad (Sic 'Em!), former elementary school teacher and Dallas, Texas transplant living in the south suburbs of Denver with my husband, three kids, and my shoe-stealing, car-chasing, people-loving bernedoodle, Yeti. I love exploring everything Denver has to offer, from local spots in my neighborhood to the cute Colorado mountain towns just a short drive away. Heading outdoors is key to enjoying Denver, and we definitely take advantage of the trails, skiing, hiking, and biking. [...]
I am also an artist with a love for interior design. My home and my family have always been most important to me, and I love helping others find the place they call home. When I’m not carpooling my three kids around Denver or chasing my dog through our neighborhood, you can find me at home, where I’m probably rearranging my furniture.
Q&A with Cori Gummelt
Where do you LIVE?
Heritage Greens
What does "Be Home" mean to you?
To "Be Home" is more than just a physical space. . . it is where you are surrounded by the people who love and know you best and where you feel most secure.
What Music Is Currently On Your Playlist?
I love all kinds of music, but right now anything Harry Styles is on repeat (my children would be so embarrassed by this admission). Best concert I've ever been to was Kacey Musgraves at Red Rocks. It was magic.
How do you "Live Who you Are"?
I value compassion, integrity, and authenticity in my relationships and strive to exhibit those qualities in my day to day interactions with others. I try to surround myself with those who are like-minded so that I have the freedom to be myself and allow others to do the same.
What local causes get your time and/or money?
I work with Mile High Ministries to support Joshua Station, a housing program supporting those rebuilding from homelessness, Family Promise of Denver, also an organization supporting families experiencing homelessness, and I also love giving my time to my kids' school as PTO lead of Community Outreach.
Give It Up. What Local Restaurant Is Your Best-Kept Secret?
Sierra in Lone Tree. Now I'm craving the grilled artichokes. Yum.
