Are you an open house junky, or do you strategize your route at the Parade of Homes every year?
Well there is something better; if you love architecture, history or design and are interested in seeing unique properties that don't look like they came out of a catalogue or the model home circuit, then you must go on home tours.

Every year Dora Moore puts on an amazing home tour that features unbelievable homes in the Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Alamo Placita, 7th Avenue Historic District and Cherry Creek Country Club. This year's tour is October 6th and will feature homes on Humboldt St. once Denver's most prestigious block. Some of the most lovingly restored Denver homes have been on the tour in past years and they never cease to amaze. Incredible works of craftsmanship and attention to detail can be seen in the former homes of silver barons, newspaper owners and the elite of Denver's past. All proceeds go to Dora Moore school and tickets can be purchased in advance at King Soopers on 9th and Downing or online for $10, or at the school on 9th and Downing the morning of the event for $15. Other neighborhoods around the city host home tours and they give neighbors and home and garden enthusiasts the opportunity to explore some of Denver's most dynamic neighborhoods.
